This month’s builder highlight is focused on Lake Macquarie local Luke Jackson. Luke grew up in Lake Macquarie and has been a core part of several successful businesses in the Newcastle region. He now devotes all of his time to Mezcal Fabrication a family-run boat-building business, located in Redhead. Mezcal Fab has worked with CNC Marine for years now and has built a range of our models. The team at Mezcal are incredible and has an eye for detail, building high-end products including TIG welding all seams and visual components for a beautiful finish. They have a large shed and can build pretty much anything. As mentioned, Luke is building ‘Less Ordinary’s’ custom vessel (link to DIY highlight). They also have an upcoming 8m fast landing craft to fab. We are keen to see these two projects come together and know they will be built to perfection! Luke also helps to train aspiring builders and DIY builders through Pure Plate Boat Building courses.
