Jason Polhman’s Second Hardtop in his back shed
Jason first approached CNC Marine in late 2019, he came to us because he thought “CNC Marine Boats are sleek, nice-looking boats”. Jason built his first vessel, the 7500HT (8.2m Hardtop) in his suburban home shed. The build took him 24 months and with plenty of hard work and late nights he had his first build under his belt. “The first build went reasonably smooth, obviously some learning on the way being my first build” Jason commented.
Over the past few years, he’s put that kit boat to the test, doing many trips including a fishing trip to Stanage Bay. But now with the confidence of his first build and a better understanding of what he actually wants in a boat he’s been getting back into the shed to build a BIGGER BOAT.
Ultimately he’s been happy with the results, not only happy with the looks and how the vessel performs but also commenting that CNC Kits are ” Accurately cut. For these reasons, this is my second CNC Marine boat kit I have bought.”. Jason has since been working those late nights again to build the boat of his dreams, another CNC Marine plate boat the larger 8000HT.
The 8000HT is a 9.06m overall length, 2.7m beam, beast of a thing. Jason has fit-out this boat beautifully, this boat has it all – Built in toilet, sink, storage hatches, bait board, his cabin features a lounge, convertible bed to table and more. Another Epic project completed by Jason. It’s great to hear how happy Jason is with his build “I am very happy with the strength of the design of the CNC Marine kits and the overall finished product and performance. I would highly recommend the purchase of these quality kits and will be using CNC Marine for any future projects.” expressed Jason.
