Looking for a builder in Canada?
DMAC Marine is the realization of a lifelong dream of founder Drew McEachren to build boats under his name. Along with managing partner, Marty Campbell, they hope to continue the marine industry legacy of their forefathers. Drew’s grandfather was a renowned aluminum boat builder on the BC coast. Marty’s dad was a founder of Marine Link Transportation, the first large landing craft transportation service on the bc coast.
Drew and Marty spent their early years working side by side as professional salmon fishing guides at the world famous Painter’s lodge during the summer and Mt Washington ski resort during the winter. Eventually their career paths took them in different directions; Drew pursued a career in welding and fabrication, while Marty found his calling in sales and business management.
Now as their paths cross again, they hope to build a boat brand that reflects their pedigree and passion they have for the rugged BC coast.
They are weeks away from the completion of their first build, a 7500WAO (8.2m Walkaround Offshore) with some “West Coast” modifications. A landing craft geared towards recreational use is the next build. With plans to build 4 boats a year in the immediate future and eventually ramp up production to the point where Marty and Drew can leave current jobs and build boats full time!
