TMJ Fabrication was formed when Travis decided to turn his idea into a business. Based in Mandurah, WA, TMJ offers custom aluminium welding and fabrication, taking on jobs of all sizes.
While getting the business off the ground, Travis also welcomed his daughter into the world — a major motivation to keep pushing forward and build a strong future for his family.
Starting out in a small shared workshop with mates, TMJ has since moved into its own space and then expanded again into a larger workshop with room for bigger builds and more customers. Today, TMJ can take on almost any boat — from small tinnies through to 10-metre projects. Current builds include a 4810BA + trailer and a 7110HTO + trailer.
As the business grows, Travis plans to bring on reliable, hardworking staff, including apprentices, with a focus on consistently delivering high-quality work customers are proud of.
Travis completed his Engineering Fabrication (Marine) apprenticeship at Great Racks in Bibra Lake, where he continued working for two years after qualifying. In the early days of TMJ, he juggled his job at Great Racks with weekend and after-hours work to build the business from the ground up.
TMJ also handles a range of repairs and modifications to existing boats, as pictured.
