2 OPTIONS to build your KIT


OPTION 1

You pay them to assemble it and then finish it off yourself. Just follow these easy steps.

  • Buy the plans and have your material supplier deliver the kit to your builder.
  • Buy the plans and have your material supplier deliver the kit to your builder.
  • Order a trailer and deliver it to your builder.
  • Book a painter and take the boat to them once the fabrication is finished. (Some builders offer a painting service). Once at the painters order your engine as they can have a long lead time. Make sure the quote includes steering, batteries, instruments and navigation lights.
  • Organise to get the windscreen fitted and book your trimmer.
  • Get the motor fitted and tested (windscreen should be on before water testing)
  • Take the boat to the trimmers for carpets, seats, and clears.
  • Finally fit your locker hatches and fittings. You can do this yourself or take it back to your builder who can do it for you. That’s it – you’re ready to enjoy your new boat.

Assemble the kit yourself.

If you can fabricate and weld then you can save even more.

Designed in 3D using the latest 3D CAD software, our DIY aluminium boat kits are built in the computer before they are physically built. This allows us to develop the most efficient construction methods which saves time and money. It also allows us to produce easy to understand 3D drawings.

Our aluminium kit boats are designed to cope with the choppy waters encountered off the Australian coastline and feature our exclusive “S” shaped inverted chine with variable deadrise hull. This combination was made possible using advanced Naval Architecture software and results in a unique hull shape that is both stable and soft riding.

We have tested in the open waters in a 2.5m swell. We tested into the swell, beam on to the swell and running with the swell. The boat stayed dry, did not broach and maintained a comfortable 25 knots.

If you are hoping to see magazine cover style pictures of boats jumping over waves then sorry but we cant help you. No matter what the deadrise of any hull, 1500kg of boat jumping over a wave is going to land hard. For that reason we have designed our hulls to stay in the water and cut through the waves – not jump over them.
